Have you ever got one of those bad mood days when you wake up and wonder
why your life is so miserable? Or why you are working in something you don’t really
like or living a life you don’t really deserve? I guess you have. Everybody has.
After some time, the storm passes and you realize that your life is worth living, and that you are more fortunate than you think. There is so much poverty, abandonment, hunger…
Sometimes we
compare our situations to other people’s misfortunes in order to make ourselves
feel luckier. We don’t realize that each of us is writing his own path and that
we should do our best every single second.
It doesn’t matter
how much you plan your life, those plans can change with the sound of a clap.
Change is inevitable. But instead of getting scared of obstacles or problems,
we should try facing them with bravery.
The story of Amy is
the mirror of many others’ who due to different reasons get stuck on the way
and abandon hope after trying really hard. Amy didn’t. After a very
harmful recovery she took control of her life and became a huge example of
self-improvement.
Our borders and obstacles can only do two things: stop us on our tracks
or force us to get creative.
Amy’s testimony has
taught me a valuable lesson: no matter who
you were before, you are the only one responsible for becoming the person you
want to be.
